MARCH XP 2007 Labels: Expedition
I don't usually update my blog now, so i guess, next time when i update my blog, i'll put it up on msn to tell you guys. But you can (and are very welcome) to tag on the board, cos i usually reply to them :)
As many of you all know ( i think) i spent the march hols on an expedition. What went on during the xp? That's what i'm here to tell you about! Heh.
Stuff before XP
I was in Group TWO! Members are:
Yang wei (group leader)
Chang Yong (Food i/c)
Roderick (Day TWO leader)
Benjamin (a.k.a Alage) (Logistics head)
Gareth (President)
Larissa (V.President)
Eunice (Fastest girl in J2 ODAC)
Fang Hui (Very nice and caring senior)
Wai Cheong (pro medic)
As you can see, my group was in a way, quite pro. With algae, gareth and lala. Alot of pressure sia. But we were a great group. Very well balanced i'd say.
My TENTmates were: Alston, Kannan, Marcus, Hong Taa, and myself. (SJI TENT) Woohoo.
Day Zero
Had church in the morning, followed by cathechism class. Reached home about 4:30 pm and started to pack my backpack for XP. Went to marselling MRT to meet up with the group, asked Yang Wei to da bau a packet of chicken rice and gobbled it down before heading off.
WALKED over the causeway into malaysia and to the train station. Train came at er, 12am, maybe 1. Heh.
Day ONE
Was on the train, sat beside shu xian. She was damn funny la. Adopting an air-plane like sleeping position. (pull the table down and lay head on it) But she soon found out it was quite uncomfortable and decided to just lean back. Haha. It was rather cold on the train, and we were all rather tired. So we just slept. *freezing session number ONE*
When we got to segamat, had a short briefing, and we started to look at stars. With out very limited knowledge, we picked out Orion, alpha centuri, and the big dipper. There were ALOT of other stars in the sky, and it was very very awesome.
After catching one hour of sleep, we walked to the bus station and had morning run! like, whoa, morning run at say.. 4 or 5 am. Haha. There was this drain which stank like CRAP. I mean, yeah, literally. After that we stonned awhile more, slept abit, and had another briefing. (there's ALOT of briefings in this XP). Then the bus driver came.
Bus rides on XP are VERY VERY important. It is there where you get sleep. (Although according to mr lim, we should be OBSERVANT and see where we have gone past to KNOW WHERE WE ARE). But gosh, i really cannot tahan, so i slept on the bus.
Open window buses are damn siok la. I rest my head against the side pole and fell asleep almost instantly. And when i woke up, i was totally refreshed. Woo.
Walked towards the base of Ophir (the first of three mountains we climbed) for breakfast! We had..... PRATA! TWO pratas! Plus teh tarik. Damn shiok. After which we had a briefing and started to ascend.
there were 7 check points and the summit. I'll try to recall them off memory (lazy to take out my notebook).
puteri waterfall (princess waterfall)
Ranger station
baby elephant pool
elephant pool
triangle river
KFC
botak hill
summit
Yup. those are the checkpoints. For day one, we ascended to the elephant pool (base camp)
On the way, we went into this place called the twin waterfall to play. Was really very exciting. (was my first time in a waterfall, call me deprived or whatever) but yes, there were like three levels of water coming down. Levels being how hard they hit you. Level one wasn't that bad, it just felt cold. Level 2 hurt the most cos they came down in small drops that hit you like pallets. Level three could easily blast you away if you didn't keep a foot and weight on a rock. Took some pictures, washed up and headed on.
So after we reached base camp, we pitched our tents, and sat down for briefing. It was then when it... RAINED. At 500meters above sea level, the rain feels QUITE cold. So we shivered, froze, cuddled, and endured. Mr lim said we had to build ressilience, so yeah, we just endured. I was looking around and saw everyone was freezing too, so we just froze together. *freezing session number TWO* The power of togetherness, VERY IMPORTANT in XP. I'll talk about those stuff later.
Then we had dinner! we cooked on a rock! LOL. We also had NATURAL water from the pool! Abundance of water. Woo. Our food i/c rocks la. Eggs, ginger, oil, OYSTER SAUCE. Oh man, the sauce saved us all. (i'm not saying the food is bad, it's just that the sauce added a sumptous taste to it). Towards the end it rained, but luckily (being in logistics team) i brought a groundsheet! and we used it as a shelter.
After that, we had performance night! We did a very weird skit, think some groups didn't really catch what we did, but oh well, who cares! We managed to pull it together! and we were really satisfied with it. Song session came next, then we had this long long talk by brother Gan (he's our guide for Ophir). Honestly, i didn't really catch what he was talking about after say.. 10 mins. But all i know is that he kept us up for a good hour or more. Talking... quite random stuff. (Or maybe it's cos i was trying hard to keep awake that i didn't catch what he was talking about).
After he finally ended, seren, poh chiat, yi liang and myself sat down to plan for day two, where we were incharge. Settle everything, and went to sleep.
DAY TWO
Woke up at 4:30am. Had a quite okay sleep. But my throat started to feel sore.
We were supposed to ascend to the summit, come back down through a different path to base camp, stike our tents, pitch our tents, and strike again (cos we were slow on day one) and descend.
Got everyone up to cook breakfast. (basically just had to warm up the milo cos it was just bread with spread).
We managed to get everyone to gather ON TIME to depart. BUT brother gan had to give a BRIEFING. Which served to be the start of the delay in the day. Ended up setting off about 6:15, 45 mins late. It was dark, so we did a night trek to warrior's valley.
There, mr lim asked me some questions, which i answered sorta wrongly. Then kena pressure. Luckily Poh Chiat saved me. But technically, i got half of it wrong. What i got wrong was about what checkpoint we were at, but the time to the next checkpoint was correct. So yeah, got quite flustered there.
We were about 1 hr behind then.
Went through the valley quite fast, took half the time they stated, so it was quite good. Reached checkpoint 5, triangle river. There were two campsites, one upped, one lower. We stopped at the upper one. and the river was at the bottom. So once again, Mr lim pressured and asks why we aren't at the lower one, and why we never show them the river, and why the river is called triangle river and etc. Yeah. He loves doing it. I'm not complaining though, it's all good learning experience.
After finally filling up our bottles we headed off to climb KFC. KFC is this steep uphill thing where you have to use all fours to climb. Quite challenging up. Imagine coming down. Woohoo. Heh. Scaled it in 2o ++ mins. Faster than allocated time. Nice. Rest, took picture, and continued on to goat cave.
Goat cave is like an obstacle course. Very narrow, needed logistics to set up help there. After which was the rock face. Oh my gosh. The rock face took VERY LONG. like, an HOUR long. A little slip in planning ahead on our part. Cos we should've let the girls went on first then the guys quickly catch up while running to botak hill. But yeah, we managed to get past that and came to botak hill.
oh by the way, in between the rock face and botak hill was this trail called the bonsai trail with wel.., alot of bonsai trees. Huge ones. Heh. I didn't really have time to admire them cos i was rushing to catch up with the main group cos i was one of the last to climb the rock face.
Botak hill's a hill, with well, not many trees. Settled down, had lunch during mr lim's talk about a few plants and ferns. Then we continued on to... the SUMMIT.
On the way, there was a split in path, i was leading infront, so naturally with the guide, we took the right path. But about 5-10 mins into the path, the people behind shouted to turn back! I was quite shocked. Started thinking that we took a wrong turn, but then again, I HAD THE GUIDE WITH ME! So impossible. Found out later that it was cos eugene and hong taa lost visual with the front people and took the wrong path, and they thought the WHOLE odac took the wrong path, and so they shouted for a turn back. Haha. Tsk tsk. (VISUAL CONTACT IS ALSO VERY IMPORTANT. I shall explain why later).
So finally with alot of pushing, we reached the summit. And boy, was it worth the pain, sweat and blood. Though it was misty, and we couldn't really see anything, the feeling of just being there took away all the negativeness. Took pictures, yum seng-ed, and enjoyed.
mr lim stood on the rock thingy and said, "statue of liMberty" OMG SO LAME! ROFLMAO
So after enjoying we descended. J1s went first, cos the J2s wanted to enjoy more, cos it was their last XP. So yeah, we all went down first, after a J1 Picture! Haha. Followed algae's tapes and eventually reached botak hill. On the way lala flew down and showed us some plants mr lim talked about. The following spelling are mostly wrong, but pronunciation is almost there: sphagment fern, mytoeniapegtenella, selleginella, clydimia, dicturscongugarta. Damn cheem right. Haha.
Settle at botak hill, regrouped with the J2s and continued down. The rock face on the way down took lesser time, cos we used 'all options available'. Meaning, we took all the possible routes down. Some roped down, some took the trail down. So yeah.
Went past KFC and to triangle river, where leaders kena pressure again. Heh. Mr lim said, 'we should treat the xp as though we had no guide' and challenged us to find our next route. (because we were taking a different one form the ascend) so yeah, ADVANCE PARTY! Went to scout abit and found it eventually. It was a trail that went up a hill, came down, went up another hill, and go back down again before reaching base camp.
Along the way, we heard thunder, and prayed it didn't rain. However, our prayers were answered with a 'i'm sorry' and jsut as we reached base camp, it poured. Once again, i froze. *feezing session number THREE* we had to back our backpacks and gather ourside for debrief before descending. Once again, we cuddle, danced, sing song to keep ourselves warm. Then we were instructed to strike, pitch and strike our tents.
Started to descend about 6;15 pm? Sky was getting dark. can't really see anything after 7;15. So we made the most of the sunlight. after crossing the river just before a waterfall, we regrouped at baby elephant pool. I.P: Injured party, went first, then log team. They were supposed to fly down, put their packs down, fly back up to get the bags of the I.P and go back down. Tough job right? All the respects to log team.
To my horror, the guide went on without us for abit, and i was like, 'SHIT WHERE IF BROTHER GAN!?' So based on the route we took up, i led the group along. Luckily there were some tapes and i saw algae. Asked him to tell brother gan to stop abit if he saw him. Fortunately we caught up with him. Ah. From then on, it got dark, and the night descend began. It's really not easy climbing down in the dark. Cos you have to shine where your foot is gonna land, and most of the time, it's not the best spot to step. Halfway down, the group got split up! Dang. Front group stopped under this rock and waited for the second group. regrouped, emphasized the IMPORTANCE OF VISUAL CONTACT and we continued. This time Poh Chiat took the front. I was in the middle. Seren was trying her best with two busted knees, cheering the group on. You can always count on her for undying spirit. Yi liang was doing well, despite having ankle problems and being in I.P. Reached the ranger station at long last, ate some motivational food, got questioned on FM SPEEDONK.
Not long after we continued, a whistle was blown! (whistle blown = EMERGENCY! PROBLEM! WHATEVER!) Poh chiat had to rush all the way up to find out who blew it. Apparently we had taken a wrong route and mr lim blew it. PRESSURE!!! I stayed in the middle, but i think poh chiat got an earful.. :( but after that we continued on the right path and finally reached puteri waterfall. Learnt the torchless way of head counting, and headed off, for the bottom.
Finally we came out. Cooked dinner, think it was around 10 or 11. Ate very happily, freshened up, and prepared for debrief. Everyone was really tired, and we tried to keep it short. Slept at the carpark that night. Had a good view of stars above us, yet had no energy to enjoy. Slept in wet clothes. *freezing session number four*
That concludes day TWO.
I'll blog till here tonight. Really gotta go catch up on sleep. I'm supposed to write a reflection on XP too. Maybe i'll just post it up in a seperate post next time. I'll try to continue on for day three four and five. But that's if i have time. Really sorry guys! Hope this will keep you guys busy for about 10 mins? Heh. Hoped it has interested you abit.
till next time everyone!

A Sunday spent in Raffles Place.
NTU's National Vertical Marathon (NVM) was today!
I spent about 13 waking hours at Raffles Place, Apart from the 3 hours where i went back to T.P for cat class.
7am-8pm.
Woots.
What did we do? Hmm.. Stone, play winning 11 on PS, eat at lau pa sat, stone even more, cheer out lungs out, drink not-that-tastey-in-fact-quite-gross-sports-drink, take picture, play with ice, cheer even more, and go home.
There was a winning 11 tournament on at 10:30, marcus Hong Taa and I joined for fun. I made it to the semis! But lost there, cos my eyes hurt from playing too much, and i was hungry, so i didn't mind loosing. LOL.
Anyways, CJC won overall, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Quite sick no? Well, they deserve it. Train like hell every morning.
Pressure on 10th batch next year.
Nothing much for today except that and that i'm trying to study for Math C.A tomorrow. Argh.
Good night world.

What's been up in school?
Quick update on what's happening in school.
Orientation rocks! CJC's six-day orientation programme is veryveryveryveryveryvery impactful.
First three days with IG, second three with class.
Highlights of orientation - body parts (water style), police academy mayhem, dragonboating, amazing race (which i missed out on! Dang!), Finale night.
More indept on police academy. We...
Looked for shoes blindedfolded in an area
Played Defense of The Asses aka D.O.T.A (it's lao ying zhua xiao ji or, eagle catches the chick actually)
Water polo (sort of)
Human bowling
Made letters in the mud with our bodies
Finale night was a bang! Yuuka (summer in Japanese) house rocks! We WON! Yay! =)
I was once AGAIN, made to be a warrior of some sort. Wore a TIARA, a cloth became my skirt, and i had a miss-universe-like sash on me. Thank God for the lego sword and shield.
My image's ruined.
MASS DANCE. Woo. Finally a partner who could dance decently. Rebecca was my make up artist and dance partner. lol.
==================================================================
ODAC
Trying to get into this CCA. It's no joke.
Orientation:
Happy hour! aka mudsticle - Roll in mud, get as much as you can on you, in your clothes, in your pants, in your underwear, in your wherever, duckwalk to two chairs, leopard crawl through, duckwalk around it three times, grab a tyre, do ten squats with it, and unload all your mud into a bucket. Wowwhee.
Drain walk! - Know that BIG longkang outside CJC? Yes, get in, walk it, do sit ups in it, protect the tofu and egg, and climb back out from behind school using a rope ladder.
Trust walk! - Get blindfolded and allow your seniors to unleash their arsenal of sadism on you. Black soy sauce, curry, raw egg and ALOT more (which i have no idea up till this day).
Butterslide! - Try to get everyone up a hill by going up a piece of canvas with detergent and all sorts of slippery stuff on it. *hint* form a human ladder.
Well, it was sick, dirty, and sadistic, but we all survived. To top it off, FIFTY PUSHUPS. Gogo!
All i know is that i got rashes from this experience, but oh what the heck.
First training :
Run 5.7km. From CJC pass SJI pass tanglin, pass SCGS detour around barker, into some private estates, back to CJC. 5 G.S.Ts (grand stand tortures). Ultimate freezbie.
Seren's birthday!:
Blindfolded her and brought her all the way from school to Fish & Co. With a TIARA on her head. Jealous girls? Then went to her house to er... drink champagne and eat cake and sleep. LOL.
Next morning 2.4km time trials. I ran a 12:56. LOL. I suck.
Second training: (i was injured)
Take bus to mac ritchie, run about 5.1 there, and run back to school (another estimated 2.4).
10 G.S.Ts. First aid lesson.
ODAC rocks. But the problem is whether i'll get in. Hmm.
===================================================================
The mind stays strong while the body gives way. Damn. That sucks.
Oh well, hope my ankle gets better VERY soon. Because there's Surf & Sweat on the 4th of FEB and I NEED TO TRAIN!!!
Oh yeah, for those who REALLY don't know what's going on.
I'm in CJC, IJ11, 1T18 (Girl : Guy 1: 8, Total class strength: 18) , Taking Physics Math Computing and Economics, trying to get into ODAC, MAYBE will join student council if i fail to get into ODAC.

EOY hols recount
Okay, it's the long awaited (or not) update by me. I'm gonna just cover everything that happened this year end i guess. May have forgotten some stuff that happened, but what the hell.
Well, my time's been spent as follows:
1st week : Chalet & RCIY camp

3rd Week:Cycling Accident
Very big ouch. First time having to go through stiching. Pain and all, but still had to look after my cousin and clean the house. lol. Sweep and mop four levels with all the bandage and stuff on.

playing pool: lvl 2 -> lvl 5
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, it wasn't a typical year end holiday for me i guess. Never spent 3 weeks (HALF of my holidays) babysitting and being a maid. It kinda ate up well, HALF my time. Maybe that's why i feel like the holidays ended a little too fast. Hmm.. i didn't get to do everything i wanted!! Argh, and this was the year with NO HOMEWORK to worry about. Damn. But i guess the skills picked up would be a consolation. Oh well.
I had actually wanted to save up this year, but instead ended up paying about 200 bucks due to the fall. Damn. The computer warranty was like, 350. So in the end, i spent close to 600. If we add all the expenses of going out, buying food for parties and other stuff, i guess it'll total up to about 800. Gosh.
Sorry for the absence from the outings 206. I didn't expect to look after my cousin so long. Well, hopefully we'll be able to keep in touch. It's inevitable that it's not gonna be as often, but still, once in a while works.
Can't think of anything else to write at this moment, mum's chasing me to go out for dinner.
Till next time people! Happy new year.

The night out on bike
Bike = bicycle.
Haha. Met deyong and ivan on saturday night at 9.30pm to go for a spin.
Here's our route briefly:
Pierce revervoir (ivan's house) -> Old upper thompson road -> upper seletar reservoir-> mandai (dy's house)-> upper thompson->pierce
Met up at pierce where we started off. Took the old upper thompson road towards dy's house. According to the two, it used to be a racing track where accidents happened quite abit and people died. Ivan was really afraid of it being haunted, and i must admit when he mentioned devil's bend, the hairs on my arms stood.
But it was really fun! Cos there was quite alot of downhill slopes where we just lazed through. Ivan's bike then produced this funny cracking sound, and i realized that his gears were, although rotating normally, they were also moving horizontally side ways! It was LOOSE!! OMG! They seemed like they could've just dropped off any moment.
Luckily there was a bike shop open and we went there to repair his bike. When the uncle looked at the gears he was like "boy ah, your gears all the ball bearings drop off already!" and dy and i just laughed. So the uncle changed both the chain and the gears, cos if the old chain was used, it may not catch the new gears properly. But then, while the uncle was changing the stuff, we heard a loud POP! we rushed to the uncle to find that ivan's front tyre had BURST! For no reason whatsoever, it burst. Again, we stood in shock. ROFL. (i suspect it was cos ivan pumped too much air into the tyre at the gas station. HAHA) So he had to change the tyre too.
So while the uncle was busy working, i was playing with his two dogs! They were quite big, a female bown german sheperd named Minnie and another black brown er dunno-what-dog-but-still-big male dog called.... what else?! Mickey! Heh.
They were very nice to stroke la, minnie kept licking me while mickey kept pushing his head against me. So adorable. They didn't bite nor bark! Aw... Softspot for dogs. Sorry la.
I was msging some people, and when we began riding again, i was holding my phone in my hand, trying to msg, while riding. O.O
Yes, dangerous, i wasn't fully concentrating on cycling, nor msging, and that's why i 'sounded fierce' while replying (although i didn't intended it to be so) to jan, and mistook a 'where' question for a 'when question' to marese. Sorry La!
Marese said she didn't wanna be responsible for my death if i fell and jan said she'd stop msging me cos i sounded fierce. Haha! So yeah, kept my phone and rode on.
We passed dy's house and went onto upper seletar reservoir. It was one nice and peaceful place. Except the occasional mozzies and traffic noise, it was a dark and rather romantic place. We saw quite a few couples there, and ivan as SOoOoOooo interested in what they were doing. There was this rocket like tower and we went up to take a look. VERY nice place. The moon hung high, the water surface still, the altitude made things look small and the night sky made it very private. (if only i was there with a girl rather than two guys huh? LOL!)
We went back down and walked towards this floating platform. Had to climb over the 'no entry except authorized personnel" gate. Moonbathed there awhile, felt the water abit, rested our legs, and we headed on.
We went further in, played briefly at a playground, and rode down this looOooooOooOng slope. You could feel the cold night wind smacking into your face as you travelled down. Returning to the rocket tower, there was this VERY VERY steep slope. TeMpTiNg. We circled around the tower to gain speed, and rushed down that slope! me, followed by ivan and dy.
On the way down, i coudn't cycle anymore cos it was THAT fast, and the wind just blew. I felt very cold actually. But man, the pain we endured to get our bikes up on that slope was well worth the trip down. Time was around twelve forty am.
Made our way back to dy's house, where his family was well asleep. So dy was kinda locked out.
BUT!
Our smart friend broke into his OWN house. Haha, i shall not describe how he did it, except it involved a strategic placement of baggage, beforehand knowledge of placement of keys, and a bamboo stick. HAHA. Go figure.
So we were in, took a drink, rested up, and Ivan and I headed back.
The road back was painful, for me. Cos i ran in the morning that day, my thighs were hurting. And cycling for four hours didn't actually help. Haha. But we survived, we made it back.
And that concludes my blogging for tonight! Nitez ppl!
Me the Maid
Like i mentioned in the previous entry, I am a maid at my grandaunt's place.
I had planned to come here (i am here already, so, yeah.) for a week or two to pick up a little on cooking from my grandaunt. But that was planned for after i thoroughly cleaned up and organised my room. But something urgent came up, and i was asked to come immediately.
What happened was that my grandaunt's maid suddenly scooted off on friday morning. She had a sister who was returning to their country, and her maid wanted to follow too. So apparently she packed her bags and left in the morning on friday and headed for the ambassy. :S
So with a semi-d, two children, my cousin bryan (4 years old) and charlotte (er, 1 year old i think?) , clothes and marketing to do, my grandaunt was in quite a bad pinch la.
So she called me while i was out with marcus and tim to head over to her place to help look after the kids.
Thus, my duty right now is to mop the floor every alternate day, water the plants, sweep the leaves and floor everyday. And of course baby sit the kids (it's tough).
It's actually quite fun picking up some domestic skills! Just in case my girlfriend/wife (if i DO get one) next time turns out to be some career-minded woman lacking in housecare skills. HAH!

EXPO - John little, Big Boyz Toyz, SITEX
Continuing from the last entry, Friday was spent with Marcus and Tim.
Went to expo early in the morning at around 9.30. Everything was closed. Had to settle for some hard carrot cake and fishballs. Marcus' carrot cake was VERY hard. I had to finish it for him. He was having a bad morning, not many things went his way, Tim was saying how he was dragging a whole plate of bad luck (which seemed quite real, but wore off over time).
We bought two SUPER big gulps, thinking we could bring them into the hall, but NuuuUuUuUuuuu. So we were outside TRYING to finish them. Eventually they proved too much, and the was the dustbin for them.
Went in for the John Little sale first. I bought a shirt, shorts, t-shirt, and two belts. (one for daddy). Totaled about $70. Then we proceeded onto the next hall, Big Boyz Toyz. Basically there were alot of cars, bikes, boats, an outlet of FHM, Maxim, An e-zone with a rip off token exhange rate (1 token 1 dollar), some archery, pool, and auctioning. There was also an outlet selling the WOW boardgame which we bought for marcus' birthday and had oh-so-much trouble learning how to play. Marcus' and tim bought a casino royale chip each, and tim got another one for someone whom he doesn't-wish-to-let-the-person-know-but-still-put-it-up-on-his-blog. So anyways, we got tired of the place and moved on to SITEX in the next two halls.
SITEX in the morning was filled with more salespersonal than customers, at least to me it seemed that way. Each outlet was literally BARRICADED with their staff, and we had to walk through so many G.O.Hs. Hah! There was even this do-re-mi trio who stood according to height and handed me brochures each after I rejected the previous. Hahhaa! So we walked around, the two found a slick keyboard, i was looking at ear pieces. I called my uncle and he told me to collect brochures for him, so I had to walk through all those people again and collect for him.
Honestly there wasn't as much as I thought there would be. Or maybe it was because I wasn't looking for anything else other than what I wanted to get. But I was quite satisfied with my purchases of the day.
Following that were a couple hours of aimless roaming in tampines mall. Went to some figurine shops, watched a small boy play house of the dead 4, and then finally took 969 home.
It was supposed to be an express bus with no bus stops, but i found mysalf waking to a non-moving bus. I thought there was a new bus stop at the IKEA tampines, but it turned out not to be the case. Suddenly there was a surge of people on the bus, and i peeked in front to realize that the 969 before ours broke down on the expressway. No wonder.
In the end i made it back home, very shagged and sleepy, cos i haven't been sleeping enough for the past few days. But i still had my table to pack and clean. And then i had to go be a maid at my grandaunt's house (i'll tell you why in the next entry). Tiring day.
Town : back2back
Going to town two days back to back is NOT recommended.
As i mentioned in the last entry, i Lonered with marese and stephh in orchard on wednesday.
Thursday was almost the same, starting with arcade with tim at doby gaut's X-zone at 10.30am. We actually met at 10, but the arcade wasn't open yet, so we went to cathay to get the tickets for Happy Feet first.
At the x-zone, They had this top-up-20-get-40 offer. Irresistable!! So tim and i topped up and completed time crisis 4! Niceness. Actually thinking back now, the stages were quite straightforward. (we spent like... 20 dollars on it? Sorry for sucking la. But the cali was a little off and well, the shots came quite fast.) We went on with daytona, tim played tennis and we shot some basketball.
We spent like 2 hours in the arcade before meeting up with Jan at plaza sing's food court. Had lunch and went for the movie. So seeing that it was in cine one, the BIG one, i thought of marese cos she hasn't been in there too. So i suggested taking a video of the inside to show her. (okay la, sounded mean in the video) But really, i just wanted to show her the inside la. Lol.
The movie was surprisingly nice. Especially with the musical-like style. Storyline's very simple.
It's just like ugly-penguin saves the rest from starvation while falling in love.
So after the movie we went to walk walk - in the reverse direction as compared to the day before. Started at plaza, ended at lido this time. Went to heeren, paragon (met marcus AGAIN, but this time we waited for his job to end), tangs (christmas cards, AGAIN), and then finally Lido for dinner. I had my FIRST subway sandwich. Yes, deprived you might say, but watever~ I loved it. I was looking for clothes and all, but end up didn't buy any.
Marcus mentioned a john little sale on friday, together with SITEX, so him, tim, and i made plans for friday.
Shall be blogged about in the next entry.
